Hardcore punk band hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Deez Nuts has been rocking out since 2007. They will be taking the stage at the Rockstadt Extreme festival in Transilvania, 2-6 August near Râșnov Fortress, and fans of their party-centric, hardcore punk style won't want to miss this performance.
Founded by JJ Peters, who was formerly a drummer for Australian metalcore band I Killed the Prom Queen, the band has released one EP and six studio albums. With their unique blend of hip-hop and hardcore punk styles of music, Deez Nuts has developed a massive following over the years. After playing a few shows in Melbourne, Deez Nuts embarked on their first tour of Australia in October 2007, followed by a Boys of Summer Tour in January 2008 with Silverstein. Shortly after the Boys of Summer Tour, Peters began writing the next release for the band. Deez Nuts' debut album, Stay True, was recorded in August 2008, and the band embarked on a tour of Australia in September 2008, joined by I Killed the Prom Queen alumni Michael Crafter's new band Confession. Afterward, they were invited to tour Europe with English deathcore act Bring Me the Horizon along with friends the Red Shore and Ignominious Incarceration.
Deez Nuts released their second studio album, This One's for You, on 21 May 2010 (in Australia). The album features appearances by several guest vocalists, including Oli Sykes of Bring Me the Horizon on the song "If You Don't Know Now You Know".
In March 2013, Deez Nuts released their third album, Bout It!, which features guest appearances from a number of musicians and was produced by Shane Frisby (The Ghost Inside). Their fourth album, Word Is Bond, followed in 2015, and their fifth studio long-player, 2017's Binge & Purgatory, featured the singles "Commas & Zeroes," "Discord," and "Purgatory." Deez Nuts has gained a massive following among fans of punk rock and hardcore music, and their energetic live performances have cemented their status as one of the most exciting live acts in the world today.
